Description | The final underpass at the Pragati Maidan tunnel complex in Delhi, known as UP-5, had its construction stalled due to technical challenges including waterlogging and shifting of concrete boxes beneath a railway overbridge. The Public Works Department (PWD) resolved these issues by revising the design to reduce the underpass dimensions to accommodate only light motor vehicles, decreasing lanes from three to two. Construction is expected to be completed within eight months using the cast-in-situ method from the Ring Road side, following approvals. |
