Description
Description | MFC’s 4-year Programme Financial Inclusion for Green Inclusive Growth in Europe aims at advancing the EU green, inclusive finance agenda for the development of EU microenterprises and social businesses. This Programme will build on the MFC successful experience in developing a sustainable microfinance sector in Europe, the current partnership with the European Commission (in force since 2014) and will align with the EU policy areas underpinning the Invest EU, ESF+ Programme and in particular its EaSI strand. It will provide links to the EC social economy planning, EU’s Green Deal and other relevant policy areas. MFC’s programme gives priority to supporting the EC in its outreach levels and raising understanding about the EU policies and support tools. To achieve this goal, MFC will create four Action Groups: Local Action Group (LAC) for targeted work at country level by conducting mapping of local actors needs and initiatives, organizing local policy forums to raise awareness and collect feedback on EU policies and programs, supporting local actors in campaigns such as European Microfinance Day which promotes microfinance. In first year the LAC will be created in Romania. Trends & Good Practices & Clients Needs Action Group to map current trends and good practise with focus on green microfinance and to organize the Social Finance Vibe conference to discuss trends, present innovative solutions. Capacity Building Action Group to improve capacity of social finance institutions and encourage them to implement digital and green solutions, build their awareness about EU relevant policies and programs. Partnership Action Group will strengthen EU level networks cooperation, continue activities of its mobile office in Brussels to ensure regular communication with EU institutions. Among planned activities are joint actions such as MF Overview Survey with EMN, joint policy notes, conference sessions, webinars on EU programs/policies with focus on Invest EU. |
