The main goal of the project is to develop a methodology for an early and efficient commercialization of electric regional flights in the Botnia Atlantica region. The methodology for commercialization of electric aircraft that is developed within the project will give the region the key to realizing the potential that exists in the technology at an early stage. New efficient and sustainable communication solutions provide the opportunity to bridge distances (especially in the east-west direction), which provides a basis for increased collaboration between public and private actors in the region and creates a greater basis for both commercial and public services. Examples include ambulance flights, medical trips and taxi flights that can reach new geographical areas in a cost-effective way. Through the active role of public actors in the project, the public sector's ability to demand and develop innovative measures that reinforce the societal benefits created by technological development increases.The project result means new opportunities to create added value for the region's assets and develop concrete solutions to the region's challenges.
