Over 8 days at the end of January, Fipadoc, heir of FIPA founded 38 years ago, brings the audience and professionals together for screenings of a selection of outstanding documentary films in Biarritz, France. Ever more dynamic and international, Fipadoc offers a most valuable experience: ◤CENTRAL STAGE FOR DOCUMENTARY LOVERS: 157 films & 44 085 spectators and 5 major awards: International, National, Musical, Impact and Audience award. Competitive selections: Short films, European Stories, Smart Biarritz Immersive (digital experiences), New Talent. Non-competitive selections: Focus territory, Taste of the Doc, Series, Visions of Ukraine (2023), Olympic Games (2024) and Ocean (2025). ◤MUST-GO LEARNING SPACE FOR EUROPEAN YOUTH: over 5.000 students Campus is at work both during the festival and the entire school year: screenings, speed-dating with professionals, exchange programmes, roundtables & workshops, New Talent selection and Doc Around Europe pitches&jury, Docs4Teens selections are all activities for youth and professionals working in film literacy. ◤CHANCE TO FOSTER POSITIVE ACTION Impact aims to bolster films that benefit not only filmmaking, but society itself. Three levels of operation: Impact competition during the Festival in Biarritz, Nomad, and the Impact Lab. ◤FESTIVAL THAT NEVER STOPS Nomad showcases festival films during all year and benefits from Fipadoc’s privileged European partnerships: Doc Around Europe (with DocsBarcelona, Dok.fest München, MakeDox, Verzio and Biografilm), and Docs4Teens (Krakow FF - Poland, Dei Popoli - Italy, Porto/Post/Doc - Portugal and Docudays - Ukraine). ◤CREATIVE WHIRLWIND FOR PROFESSIONALS: 2,627 accreditations, 60+ sessions & 200+ decisionmakers. INDUSTRY DAYS offers a dynamic and innovative program: Coproduction forum: 53 projects pitched in 2025, +850 individual meetings. Hub: conferences, panels, masterclasses.
