FIPADOC, the International Documentary Film Festival, is held in Biarritz on the 3rd week of January. It brings directors and professionals together for screening a selection of outstanding documentary films. The INDUSTRY DAYS, dedicated to documentary professionals, provide them with an efficient platform to enhance coproduction and funding opportunities, to facilitate circulation and distribution as well as to exchange knowledge. Being the first festival/market of the year, FIPADOC intends to be a hub for key interactions, new trends and innovative formats. Last year, despite the pandemic and a fully digital edition, the INDUSTRY DAYS, 5 days both in English and in French, gathered around 1.800 professionals with almost 50 different online sessions. Within INDUSTRY DAYS, FIPADOC MEET & MATCH consists of the English-speaking strand and intends to be a talent-oriented event that connects professionals and projects from strategic European territories: France – Southern Europe – Focus Territories. A place where projects holders encounter key decision makers and close deals, professionals get access to critical European markets, talents gain visibility and connect with others.
