Description | Smith & Wesson is planning to construct a firearms plant on a 236-acre site at the Partnership Park North in Maryville. The project scope includes construction of a building; and purchase, relocation and installation of racking, and machining, injection molding, curing, testing, and assembly equipment. MBI Companies Inc. has been selected to provide design services and the Christman Company has been selected to provide construction services. Construction is expected to begin in the mid-to-late fourth quarter of 2021. Operations will be consolidated from the company’s manufacturing plants in Columbia, Mo. and Springfield, Mass. and its distribution center in Deep River, Conn. |
