Description
Description | As part of the project, the China Medical University Hunnan International Hospital (HIH) is to be built and equipped with medical equipment. The HIH will be built in Shenyang (Liaoning Province) in the new Hunnan district. The project sponsor is the existing First Affiliated Hospital under China Medical University, which wants to expand its capacity due to its heavy overload. Despite the spatial separation, the new hospital will be an institutional part of the existing hospital, which is located in the center of the city of Shenyang. The project is primarily intended to ensure medical care for the residents of the new Hunnan district in the south of Shenyang. The university hospital of the highest national category is to be equipped with first-class diagnostic and treatment options, especially for complicated medical cases, which will also be available to patients beyond the city and province borders. The focus of the HIH will be on the treatment of vascular and tumor diseases. Once completed, the hospital will have around 1,600 beds and is expected to be able to care for 34,000 inpatients and 810,000 outpatients per year. A FZ subsidy loan of EUR 32.0 million will finance 100% of medical equipment (e.g. MRI, CT, linear accelerator, etc.). A consultant financed by the subsidy loan will support the hospital in procuring the high-quality medical equipment and will advise it on equipment maintenance and training employees to operate the equipment. While the KfW subsidy loan will secure the financing of the medical equipment, the project sponsor will finance the construction work for the new hospital with its own contribution. |
