The cluster is housed in a data center in Asunción and integrated into the BUZZ AI Cloud platform. It serves as a proof-of-concept for distributed AI computing, with computations performed on GPUs in Paraguay while the model is trained from New York. The project aims to collect data on latency, bandwidth, and load management to assess prospects for scaling high-performance computing in the region. HIVE controls about 300 MW of hydroelectric power in Paraguay and plans to add another 100 MW, with potential further investments in data centers planned through 2027. |
