The project had a 5GW capacity reservation with Topsoe secured in 2022, with the first phase order placed in 2024. However, Topsoe terminated the agreement due to First Ammonia failing to meet key project milestones despite multiple deadline extensions. First Ammonia stated that Topsoe's exit will not impact the schedule for the final investment decision (FID) and start of construction this year, as they are selecting an alternate technology for hydrogen production. |
