First Solar Utility-Scale Solar Module Manufacturing Expansion

under construction

First Solar Inc. is expanding its manufacturing capacity to meet rising demand for utility-scale solar modules. The project involves adding several gigawatts of annual production through new plants and expansions of existing facilities in the United States and other regions, leveraging thin-film CdTe technology. Capital expenditures have increased to fund new factories and production equipment, with phased ramp-ups expected over several years to improve output and reduce costs.
