The Project focuses on addressing key weaknesses of Government’s Public Financial Management (PFM) systems and strengthening intergovernmental fiscal relations and building capability to support policy objectives with the appropriate levels of spending and investment projects that bring best value for money, while ensuring fiscal position of the country remains sustainable through raising revenues and overseeing fiscal risks. Finally, the Project also supports performance orientation of transfers that fund service delivery at local level. The IPF activities will supplement the IPF-PBC and provide the government with the technical assistance and capacity development to achieve the results envisaged under the PBCs.
