Toachieve this, the program will serve to boost tax revenues and improve tax quality, and to rationalize public investment. Both measures willhelp reduce the public deficit and in turn will create fiscal room to increase education spending. At the same time it will seek to stabilizecurrent transfers to the power sector and improve financial management control, in particular over non-tax revenues and the centralgovernment payroll. |
