Description | The objective of the Fiscal Structural Programme for Economic Growth III is to support thegovernment's efforts to achieve a sustainable fiscal path. It will do so by: (i) further reducing taxdistortions, which hinder private investment, employment and competitiveness; (ii) continuestrengthening revenue collection through broadening tax bases while enhancing tax and customsadministration effectiveness; (iii) enhancing control over budgetary expenditure; (iv) improving thefiscal sustainability of the National Insurance Scheme; and (v) strengthening the Fiscal ResponsibilityFramework.This operation is the third and last one of three consecutive, independently financed but technicallyinterrelated one-tranche programmatic policy-based loans, as per document CS-3633-1. |
