Description | The objective of this programmatic series and the first operation is to strengthen fiscal sustainability by controlling expenditure and modernizing the tax system. The specific objectives are to: (i) improve the effectiveness of the macrofiscal institutional framework; (ii) increase the efficiency of tax system management; and (iii) improve efficiency in public expenditure management (employment, administrative reform, and judicial pensions). This is the first of two operations under the programmatic policy-based loan modality, to consist of two contractually independent and technically linked loans. |
