Fisherman's Wharf Forward Project

A multi-phase $10 million plan to revitalize the area around the Taylor and Jefferson streets intersection and the Inner Lagoon west of Pier 45 at San Francisco's Fisherman's Wharf. The project includes demolishing the historic Alioto's Restaurant to create a new public plaza with picnic tables, pop-up retail space, a sculpture, landscaping, and historic signage. It also involves seating area renovations, lighting improvements, and enhancements to commercial fishing facilities. Longer-term plans include seismic upgrades, seawall improvements, flood proofing, and updated retail and restaurant spaces.
