Description | NextNRG and Florida International University (FIU) are partnering to deploy one of the nation's first large-scale wireless electric vehicle charging networks on FIU's campus. The project includes a dynamic wireless charging roadway up to 3 miles long and 24 static wireless charging sites across multiple campus locations. Select sites will feature bi-directional charging integrated with FIU's renewable energy portfolio, enabling energy flow to and from vehicles. A mobile app will manage billing, usage tracking, and real-time station availability. This deployment aims to demonstrate next-generation sustainable transportation infrastructure at scale and position FIU as the first U.S. university to showcase wireless EV charging at this scale. |
