"This project involves the construction of a total of five electrical transmission lines and substations in the regions of Lima, Ica and Ayacucho in Peru. These transmission lines are the 500 kV Transmission Line Chilca CTM-Carabayllo - Third Circuit, located in Lima ; The New 500/220 kV Bicentennial Substation in Lima ; The Reconfiguration of the 220 kV Chavarría - Santa Rosa - Carapongo Link in Lima ; The New Muyurina 220 kV Substation, the New Ayacucho Substation, the 220 kV Muyurina-Ayacucho T.L. located in Ayacucho, as well as the Expansion of the Supply Capacity of the Ica Electrical System (ITC Project) located in Ica. These projects were officially awarded to Alupar Peru S.A.C, a subsidiary of the Brazilian Alupar with the signing of a 30 year concession. The execution of the projects will enhance the supply of electrical energy while improving reliability and transmission capacity, benefiting industrial, commercial, and service activities in Lima, Ica, and Ayacucho. The total project cost is $441m. The financial close date is August 29th, 2024.
