Description | This project consists of upgrading the aging wastewater collection system in Five Rivers (formerly Rexton), New Brunswick. The work will take place on six existing lift stations that were constructed in 1975 and are in poor condition. Two lift stations (Lift stations #1 and #3) will be fully upgraded and replaced as the mechanical piping has rusted beyond repair and the pumps have exceeded their expected life. Four other lift stations (#2, #4, #6, and #8) will be upgraded with new backup generators. Additionally, 200m of forcemain extension will be constructed from Lift Station 1 to connect to the existing forecemain at Lift Station 2. |
