The projects include 100 MW in Nakaseke District, 20 MW each in Moroto, Luuka, Nebbi, and Gomba Districts, and 150 MW in Amuru District. ERA cited grid stability concerns and a cap of 200 MW for Variable Renewable Energy integration as reasons for disallowing these projects. A grid stability study by Uganda Electricity Transmission Company Ltd (UETCL) is ongoing to determine future capacity for solar investments. |
