Description | The Flathead National Forest is undertaking construction at the FK&L dispersed site west of Emery Bay Campground to add an additional boat launch and day use area along Hungry Horse Reservoir. Improvements include parking area construction, access road and surface aggregate improvements, installation of a cast-in-place concrete boat launch, picnic tables with raised walking paths, and an overflow and boat trailer parking area at Emery Bay campground to increase turnaround space at the existing boat ramp. The site will be closed starting July 22, 2026, for public safety during construction and will be reclassified as day-use only upon completion. |
