Flathead Lake Minimum Flow Reduction

Energy Keepers, Inc. (EKI) and the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes (CSKT) are implementing a 45% reduction in the license required minimum flows from 12,700 cfs to 7,000 cfs to balance community needs. This reduction will impact the lower river fishery and electricity production in June but will be offset in July and August by shifting water volume. The adjustment aims to provide more lake access days during summer while managing lake levels projected to be nearly three feet below full pool by August 31.
