Description | Hydro Power Free Lanka (HPFL), subsidiary of Free Lanka Capital Holdings, was planning the development of the 0.94MW Mini Hydropower Plant, Stellenberg, Sri Lanka. Hydro Power Free Lanka was part of Free Lanka Capital Holdings, a joint venture between Browns Investments and Perpetual Holdings. The project company, Hydro Power Free Lanka 3, entered into a Small PPA with the Ceylon Electricity Board reported in December 2010 as was reported in December 2011. The PPA included tax holidays and other concessions like duty free imports for investors. Construction started in January 2011.
