The scope of the project includes tendering the purchase of 10 electric / hybrid accessible 24-30 foot transit buses to be used in an on-demand transit delivery model. The project aims to enhance, ensure the sustainability and continuity of transit service in the City of St. John’s while showing a commitment to the reduction of climate change by purchasing an electric / hybrid bus model. The aim is to have potentially 4 of the new vehicles delivered in 2024, 3 in 2025 and the remaining 3 in 2026. |
