Description | Chesapeake Utilities Corp. plans to build a $1.2 billion intrastate natural gas pipeline called the Florida Energy Pathway. The 24-inch pipeline will stretch from Palm Beach County to Miami-Dade County, developed, constructed, and operated by Peninsula Pipeline Co., a subsidiary of Chesapeake Utilities. The pipeline aims to ease supply constraints and bolster energy reliability in South Florida, expanding natural gas transportation capacity for residential, commercial, and industrial customers. The project is expected to enter service in 2030, subject to regulatory approvals and final commissioning. |
