Description

Description

"What if small nudges could lead to big changes in Europe’s food systems? The Food Resilience through Architecturally Modelled Environments (FRAME) project believes they can. By integrating behavioral science into food policy, business strategies, and education, FRAME aims to transform how Europeans produce, consume, and value food. At its core, FRAME uses ""nudging""—subtle shifts in choice environments that guide people toward sustainable decisions without limiting freedom. The project recognizes that behavior lies at the heart of food system challenges: from wasteful practices and inefficient resource use to the persistent gap between ambitious policies and real-world impact. Addressing these behavioral drivers is crucial to achieving the goals of the European Green Deal and the Farm to Fork Strategy. FRAME will establish national hubs and a European think tank where policymakers, businesses, educators, and communities collaborate to create practical, scalable solutions. A gamified Massive Open Online Course (MOOC), hands-on workshops, and dynamic challenges will equip stakeholders with the tools to implement nudging strategies effectively. In 36 months, FRAME aims to bridge the gap between policy and practice, showing how thoughtful nudges can make sustainability the norm—leading to a more resilient and sustainable European food system."
