Description | Riding on Gujarat's vibrancy, we built a INR 40 billion worth manufacturing facility for Ford at Sanand, spread over an area of 460 acres with the capacity to roll out 240,000 cars and 270,000 engines per year. It has proved to be a great fillip for Gujarat's economy with the potential to create employment for thousands in the region. A world-class integrated manufacturing facility in India, was also a critical element of Ford’s plan to establish the country as an export hub and triple their manufacturing capacity. Featuring and Engine Plant of 58,000 Sq. m and a Final Assembly Shop of 87,000 sq. m, the execution included fabrication & erection of 12,000 MT of structural steel, 2.20 lakh sq. m of roof sheeting & cladding and MEP Services. The complete steel structure of the state-of-the-art plant was constructed at site and all the structural connections were bolted using 1.5 lakh high-tensile bolts. |
