Description | The EBRD originally provided EUR 650 million long-term loan to Ford Otomotiv Sanayi A.S. (the "Company", or "Ford Otosan") (the "Original Loan") to finance the Company's investment programme for upgrading its next generation one-tonne commercial vehicle, which will include majority battery electrical vehicles ("BEV") and plug-in hybrid electrical vehicle ("PHEV") variants, in its production plants in Kocaeli, Turkey. The EBRD provided an additional long-term unsecured senior loan of up to EUR 200m to Ford Otosan (the "Extension Loan") to support the Company to finance the investments envisaged under the investment programme for 2023, wherein the same investment programme was partially financed by EBRD in 2021. |
