Description	The objective of the Forests Development Project is to establish sound forest management systems that maximize the contribution of Georgia's forests to economic development and rural poverty reduction on an environmentally sustainable basis. There are three main project components. The first improves forest sector governnance through national regulatory, financial, and institutional reforms. The second component improves forest planning and management in the Central Caucasus pilot area. The third component supports forest protection and reforestation in selected priority areas.
