Mace has started work on the £150m transformation of London's former City Hall at More London. The project involves redeveloping the former Greater London Authority headquarters into a larger, low carbon office and retail destination. The building will be expanded from 18,000 sq m to 22,000 sq m by extending floorplates and straightening its distinctive leaning profile. The redevelopment includes replacing the glass façade with new cladding, adding landscaped terraces, creating ground floor retail space, and modern office accommodation. Additional works include infilling the central atrium, new roof terraces, replacement MEP services, end of trip facilities, shell and core office space, and public realm improvements around The Scoop amphitheatre and Queen’s Walk.
