Description | The project consists of acquiring new Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) power generators in Fort Simpson to replace the current diesel generators. The project scope consists of installing LNG generators and LNG storage units, thus reducing both energy insecurity and GHG emissions within the community. The project will also result in a small energy efficiency increase at the facility. The project will result in replacing up to 85% of diesel fuel currently used with LNG in Fort Simpson, resulting in a cleaner and greener community with a much more reliable energy source. |
