For autistic people, their families and their representative organisations across Europe, taking part in a European network has a high added value as they are faced with similar challenges concerning access to education, employment, health, social inclusion and independent living, etc., across the EU. By conducting data collection and analysis of key areas of concerns for autistic people, AE aims at at informing decision-makers about the diversity of disability and the specific issues faced by autistic people in various aspects of life, and how they can be addressed. Capacity-building of our membership and promoting mutual learning are also central to our activities. Our priority areas aim at fostering a fair and social Europe, notably by ensuring the full implementation of the European Pillar of Social Rights (EPSR) and the European Strategy for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities 2021-2030 (ESRPD) at the EU and national level. |
