Description
Description | France is actively involved in building Europe’s Digital Health future by creating EHDS, allowing for secure health data sharing for primary and secondary uses throughout the EU. This grant aims at accelerating MyHealth@EU implementation, EHDS pillar for primary use of health data. Over the long run, it will facilitate harmonised uses of cross-border healthcare services and meet the identified needs related to the free circulation of patients, health professionals and health data (as set out in the European directive on cross-border healthcare). The current implementation of MyHealth@EU’ s current implementation is still an investment for Member States with a limited usage. Uses should be triggered as soon as more countries are connected and more services made available, a key objective of this Direct Grant. By applying, France demonstrates its commitment to meet MyHealth@EU ambition. France joined MyHealth@EU with the opening of its NCPeH and a first use case PS-B in July 2021, operated by ANS (Agence du Numérique en Santé). Considerable endeavours have been done for keeping and improving PS-B service. In July 2022, France NCPeH was already connected to 7 countries and had participated in all pre-PPT testing and formal testing events organized since the PS-B go-live one year before. France intends to. This Direct Grant represents an opportunity to maintain and upgrade the NCPeH as substantial investments are required to help accelerating MyHealth@EU implementation and development with the launch of 2 new services, ePrescription-Country-B and ePrescription-Country-A by involving a first “Country-A” use case for France, introducing an access for French residents to cross-border services This key investment will allow the French healthcare system to provide better care to European citizens in France, in line with the 2011/24/EU directive and the Commission Implementing Decision 2019/1765 on cross-border healthcare and, as well as to better support France. |
