Francis Scott Key Bridge Replacement

The project involves rebuilding the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore with a new two-mile-long cable-stayed structure. The new bridge will be longer and higher than the original 1970s-era steel arch continuous truss bridge, providing greater vertical and horizontal clearance for large vessels at the Port of Baltimore. The alignment has been shifted approximately 260 ft to the southeast to accelerate construction and reduce environmental impacts. Test piles are expected to be driven into the riverbed next month.
