The proposal is to engage teacher-trainers in sharing knowledge, skills, experience and best practice in relation to their work in preparing trainees in the teaching of i) literacy, ii) environmental education, iii) European citizenship and the iv) modern foreign languages within the 3 à 13 age range. This will involve reciprocal visits during which participants will visit schools and other educational sites, resources centres such as libraries and curriculum support centres, and engage in a programme of talks and discussions. Following these visits participants will compile a report on what they have learned to serve as a handbook for other professionals in their field and to continue to work with their colleagues through a series of ongoing meetings and a website including discussion board and e mail facility to develop the European dimension of the curriculum in the longer term.
