The proposed project will increase capacity to treat and manage wastewater with construction a new treatment plant facility that will serve residents and recreational users of the area as well as provide capacity for the future. The new facility will meet regulatory requirements and provide a high level of treatment with nutrient removal to protect the water quality in Cultus Lake. The project works include: - Construction of new wastewater treatment plant providing secondary treatment, nutrient removal and sludge treatment including: - Installation of odour control, process and facility piping, and related appurtenances; - Installation of instrumentation and electrical supply; - Installation of rapid infiltration basins; - Construction of facility buildings; - Installation of forcemain connector to service Soowahlie First Nations lands; - Collection system upgrades; and, - related civil, mechanical, and electrical works.
