FSRU Upgrade at LNG Croatia Terminal

LNG Hrvatska, operator of the LNG terminal on Croatia's northern Adriatic island of Krk, is upgrading its existing floating storage regasification unit (FSRU) at the Kuzey Star shipyard in Turkey. The upgrade includes installing an additional regasification module and a five-year class renewal. The project aims to raise the terminal's gasification capacity from 2.9 bcm to 6.1 bcm per year, partly funded by a 25 million euro grant from Croatia's economy ministry and the company itself. The regasification module is supplied by Wartsila Gas Solutions and built by Chinese Nantong CIMC Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering Co. The upgrade is linked to the construction of the gas transmission system by Croatian operator Plinacro.
