Description | Fujian Longking Company and Dhaka West Power (subsidiary of Maisha Group) are to build the 108MW Keraniganj furnace oil-fired power plant, and sell the power to BPDB at Tk6.92/kWh for a period of 15 years. The project was reported as producing power by July 2012. The fuel is HFO, not diesel (but that is not in the list, so listed as diesel, the closest substitute). The contract was agreed to by the government in September 2011. Total cost was estimated at US$59.2 million, based on 15 year contract, 10% interest rate, US$600k per MW. The Financial Express (Bangladesh), Purchase Body meet okays four IPP projects, 9 September 2011. |
