Description
Description | The project aims to make a direct contribution to improving the attractiveness and labor market and employment relevance of vocational training and the interfaces with school and university education in Jordan. The aim of the project is to establish a nationwide support program that will enable talented and ambitious young people with limited financial resources to complete selected recognized training courses and (short-term) training courses in promising areas and increase their employability by granting student loans. On the basis of appropriate selection mechanisms and cooperation structures between the support program and reputable TVET providers and growth companies, on the one hand, needs-based educational offers are to be identified that are assessed by the private sector as qualifying and enable formal employment with sufficient income. At the same time, talented, motivated young people in need of financial support are to be identified and selected for admission to one of the pre-selected training measures. They should aim to take up formal employment and at the same time commit to repaying the funds provided in the form of a fixed percentage of their future salary. During and after completing their qualification measure, the beneficiaries will be supported by a wide range of non-financial services. The sponsor will be the Jordanian Crown Prince Foundation (CPF). The CPF will delegate responsibility for implementation to a Fund Management Unit, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of the CPF and a legally independent, non-profit company and is institutionally located directly below the CPF. |
