This project will support Fundeser to reinforce its credit risk management institutional capacities, in order to expand its loan portfolio while maintaining sound risk performance standards through the following components: 1. Develop a revised credit methodology based on the existing credit policies and procedures, which were developed after the recent financial crisis. Special focus will be placed on creating the right balance between productivity and adequate assessment of risks, taking into account the nature of the loan portfolio (mainly rural). 2. Implement the revised credit policies and procedures and support knowledge transfer of the credit business, including class room and on the job training.
