Description

Description

This project is the first phase in the development of water and wastewater systems for the municipality of Fundy-St. Martins. This phase will involve the completion of the environmental impact assessments (EIA) required for water and wastewater systems, investigation to confirm the well location for a future water system, and the design, construction and commissioning of a new wastewater collection and treatment system. This community is poised to experience significant growth as is a major tourist destination. It is at the western end of the Fundy Parkway and is the gateway to the Fundy Footpath. This community has been granted ACOA funding to improve the Harbor Park area to better accommodate the bus loads of cruise ship passengers that arrive multiple times a week during the fall. This community does not currently have any water or wastewater infrastructure which is a significant hindrance to investment and growth in the region. Investing in the development of water and wastewater systems will enable community growth and will have significant economic benefits.
