The project is the 7th tranche of the further development of the Microfinance Initiative for Sub-Saharan Africa (MIFSSA II). The aim of the project is to increase the sustainable and efficient range of needs-based financial services for MSMEs in sub-Saharan Africa. To this end, business models geared towards lending to MSMEs or promoting MSMEs are promoted by granting equity and equity-like loans to financial institutions, holding companies and financial sector funds. The financing enables MSMEs to make investments that promote business growth. Growth thus indirectly leads to the preservation and creation of jobs and income and the project makes a contribution to poverty reduction in sub-Saharan Africa. The following projects were financed with this tranche of MIFFSA II - AB Bank Rwanda (Rwanda) - AfricInvest Financial Inclusion Vehicle (FIVE) (Sub-Saharan Africa)
