Future of Europe is in our hands

The project focuses on seeking solutions for the future of the EU, and engagement of citizens in the EU. The aim is to help with making the Czechs, Slovaks, Austrians, and Croatians Europeans. Role of citizens within the EU has gained new dimension lately. However, citizens have not realized it yet. Therefore, the project develops the European themes and values. The key is to support the European awareness and citizenship. The project will be a significant milestone in understanding why the EU is important for all of us. By the presentation of the themes which are a priority in the EU right now, and by the subsequent discussion, citizens will participate in seeking universal solutions for Europe. They will express their opinions and strengthen their status of European citizens. Bringing nations closer together is an important factor, too. An intercultural dialogue will help such aim, and it will be the result of the culture-social participation of citizens, since citizens from the partner municipalities will present their culture and traditions. Due to this, national barriers will be overcome and new friendships will be created. Except for citizens, the project will be beneficial to the municipalities, too. It will provide space to discuss various themes concerning self-governments, as well as ensure exchange of know-how, e.g. of how to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic. This will strengthen the partnership. Since wide range of participants will be present – citizens, non-profit organizations and associations, and self-governments – unity will be reached despite diversity, including national, institutional and age one. Thus the project will be discrimination free. The purposes of the project are: 1) Supporting the European awareness and citizenship and raising interest in the future of Europe 2) Intercultural dialogue between the present nations 3) Developing solidarity and tolerance, and supporting non-discrimination 4) Creating new bonds between citizens.
