Description | UK microgrid developer Eclipse Power and UK energy infrastructure developer Carlton Power have partnered to develop the Future Point Manchester energy park in Carrington, Greater Manchester. The project is designed to host a large-scale hyperscale data center and includes a 1.4GW bilateral private grid connection with a connection date in 2028, and on-site low-carbon generation capacity of more than 500MW. The park will be located next to existing power infrastructure including the 884MW Carrington Combined Cycle Gas Turbine, a 680MW Battery Energy Storage System, and a Long Duration Battery Storage project. |
