In May 2016, construction of a biomass cogeneration power plant commenced in Fuyang City, Anhui Province. It was developed under a BOT modality by a local private company Anhui Guozhen which had a 100% stake in the project. The total investment was US$ 68.84 million (RMB 450 milion) and would be completed in one year. The power generation capacity of the facility was 30MW.
