Gabon - Project to support the establishment of a business incubator system in Gabon

The project to support the establishment of a business incubator system is in line with the Emerging Gabon Strategic Plan (PSGE). It consists of setting up a technical assistance structure aimed at assisting business start-up project holders and entrepreneurs in setting up a viable and sustainable entrepreneurial activity. The project has two components. The first aims to support the development of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) by assisting entrepreneurs and project leaders with feasibility studies, market studies, assistance in developing business plans, assistance in accounting and financial management of the business (including tax aspects), legal and administrative assistance (classification, registration, etc.), skills development, vocational training and coaching. The second aims at facilitating the access of MSMEs to financing (upstream) and to markets (downstream) through the facilitation of access to public procurement (including technical assistance in the preparation of dossiers in response to calls for tender), the facilitation of access to subcontracting (including support to business clusters), assistance in preparing applications for bankable financing and in bank negotiations, assistance in setting up guarantee and security mechanisms for projects, bringing together project leaders and potential investors (including in terms of organising and/or participating in "forums for investors and entrepreneurs") and information and communication sessions for project leaders.
