Description
Description | The project contributes to the implementation of the PCI 10.11 Gabreta, which aims to increase grid hosting capacity, enable remote monitoring and control of MV (20, 22 and 110 kV) grids and improve grid observability and network planning. The project will reinforce and digitalize the distribution grids of CZ and DE, by strengthening and modernizing the electrical infrastructure (i.e.: new MV substations and lines), installing new communication equipment (i.e.: optical fibre and power line communication), smart components (i.e.: monitoring and remote-control devices) and developing the ICT based control system and applications. More specifically, the project's scope consists of four work packages with different interventions at the distribution grid and one horizontal activity for management and coordination. The project will be carried out by internal and external resources. The project’s deliverables are as follow: • Knowledge-sharing database for energy experts compiled on the website. • Knowledge-based Information for public compiled on the website. • Three MV cross-border interconnectors commissioned between CZ and DE. • Two 110/22 kV primary substations commissioned in South Bohemia and East Moravia regions (CZ). • Two 110/20 kV primary substations commissioned in Rottenburg an der Laaber and Kirchenthumbach (DE). • Approx. 300 secondary digital substations commissioned in CZ. • Approx. 1024 secondary digital substations with VRDT commissioned in DE. • Approx. 8000 load/operation monitoring devices installed in secondary substation in CZ. • Approx. 270 remotely-controlled switchers installed in the MV grid in CZ. • Approx. 10 units of remotely-controlled protection systems in primary 110/22 kV substations in CZ. • Approx. 130 km of optical fibre commissioned in CZ. • Approx. 190 km of optical fibre commissioned in DE. • Approx. 2400 PLC units installed in secondary substations in DE. • New functionalities and integrations in SCADA commissioned in CZ. • Load/operation Head-End System commissioned in CZ. • Datahub commissioned in CZ. • Data warehouse storage functionalities commissioned in CZ. • Energy mix forecast tool and application commissioned in CZ and DE. • Tools for grid management and optimization commissioned in DE. Once the project is completed it will strengthen the grid in the border region, increase security and quality of electricity supply and it will facilitate the integration of renewable energy sources and new energy market players. |
