Information Department of water resources-MH - II has come up with Gadnadi Medium Irrigation Project with a ticket size of 602.75 INR Crores. This project in Irrigation sub-sector involves The current status of the project is Completion Certificate/COD and is being developed through the EPC route. Economic/Social Impact of the Project The Gadnadi Medium Irrigation Project is being constructed in Ratnagiri district of Maharashtra. The construction work of the project was started in the year 1987. The project was included under Centrally Sponsored Scheme, PMKSY-AIBP and prioritized in 2016 for early completion. The project envisages construction of the following components. [i] A 487.00 m long earth dam, masonary dam of length 44m with the maximum height of 71.38 m, and 41 m long gated ogee type spillway having 3 Nos of radial gates of size 12 X 5 m on the right flank across river Gadnadi [ii] 27 km long Left Bank Canal [LBC] with full supply discharge of 1.46 m3/s & and 47.00 km long Right Bank Canal [RBC] with full supply discharge of 4.6 m3/s along with distribution network in Sangameshwar and Chiplun taluka. During inclusion of Project under PMKSY-AIBP in 2016 Balance Cost of the Project was Rs 154.119 crore Eligible Central Assistance was Rs 4.143 crore CA released since 2016 till March 2023- 3.4971 crore Physical progress- 93 percentage Financial Progress- 104.88 percentage Ultimate Irrigation Potential is 4868 Ha Irrigation Potential created till December 2023- 4868 Ha and overall 6003 ha PMKSY Components is Completed in December 2023
