Description | GAIL (India) Limited will invest INR 3,800 crore to develop 700 MW of solar power capacity across two Indian states, including integrated battery energy storage systems to improve reliability and manage intermittency. The projects include a 600 MW solar power project with a 550 MWh battery energy storage system at TUSCO Solar Park in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, serving the captive energy needs of the petrochemical plant in Pata, Auraiya district. Another 100 MW solar PV capacity with a 22 MWh BESS is planned in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar district, Maharashtra, for captive consumption at GAIL’s PDH-PP Plant in Usar, Raigad district. |
