Text description provided by the architects.In a bustling and dynamic city where space is precious and every square foot commands a premium in the most prestigious neighborhoods, a couple chose to live in a 4,520-square-foot (420m²) apartment within a late-1970s, Haussmann-inspired building in the heart of São Paulo's Jardins district. This is an eccentric, unconventional home where living and contemplation coexist within a powerful aesthetic framework. Stepping into this apartment is like walking into a gallery just as the sunlight streams through the tall windows, casting soft shadows over meticulously curated pieces. Every object and furniture piece is placed with deliberate intent, as if the home were part of an ongoing conversation between design, architecture, and its inhabitants. Here, the mundane is elevated to a sublime experience; for this couple, living poetically means surrounding themselves with original, authored designs of beauty and meaning. While the concept itself is not entirely new, its resonance feels particularly contemporary.
