Description | The Community Government of Gameti Lakeside Trail project will provide a 3.3 km of trail along the western residential boundary to the main community road, the project also includes two 300m trail access routes to enable easy access for on the land activities. The Community and council of Gameti is interested in diverse trails for the whole community’s benefit. The trail will benefit the community in the following ways: easy access to adjacent areas from different exits of the island for, accessing fish for resident families’ nutrition, safe and clean access to school students for on-the-land programs, easy access to game when hunting, clear access/emergency escape routes when wild life threatens trail users, and to provide health and wellness walkways. |
